The lasted scare tactic… I mean variant, has been found in roughly a third of US states as of Sunday, December 3, 2021. These states include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Though the name Omicron sounds like a kick-ass transformer here to bring despair to us all, there have been no deaths associated with the variant. This is contrary to the concerns from the World Health Organization (WHO) last month. Though there have been no deaths from Omicron, there have been fully jabbed individuals contracting the COVID-19 variant. One lucky fellow was attending an anime convention in New York City while fully inoculated and STILL came down with the Omicron variant according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Lord Fauci during a CNN interview for their State of the Union on December 3, 2021, stated “it does not look like there’s a great degree of severity to it [Omicron]”, but notes that it is too early to draw definitive conclusions and more data is needed.
Omicron first broke out in South Africa before spreading across the globe so this region of the world has the most data on the situation currently. Dr. Angelique Coetzee, the head of the South African Medical Association, told media outlets last week that Omicron patients in South Africa are showing mild symptoms, adding that an infected individual does not suffer from a loss of taste or smell.
Further, a preliminary study shows that Omicron is the only COVID, aka Chinese Communist Party (CCP), virus variant to contain an “insertion mutation” (ins214EPE), which the researchers claim is likely of human genomic or viral origin. The researchers go on to theorize in the study that the insertion mutation may have developed in a person simultaneously infected with the CCP virus and the common cold-causing HCoV-229E coronavirus.
Despite the lack of severity from the Omicron variant, the United States, the European Union, and a number of countries have imposed unnecessary travel restrictions on several southern African countries. It seems though that tyrannical Japan and Israel have opted for some of the strictest travel bans as they are not allowing all foreign travel over the emergence of the Omicron variant.
At this point, Omicron is looking more like a common cold, but people are scared more than ever it seems. The ominous name paired with its relatively new arrival has just enough to keep the uninformed at the mercy of their overlords. If only those who spout “follow the science” did just that…
